Though he is still only 18, MTP is engaging Jamie as a professional artist in this role. As well as anchoring the show as this terrific actor/singer/dancer character, Jamie will act as mentor to the younger performers in the show, particularly the boys. We are very grateful to the ACT Government, through ArtsACT, for helping support Jamie’s work on our show.

Jamie trained from a young age at Jayz Dance, Pialligo, then made his professional debut aged 12, in the title role of “Billy Elliot”. Of the 4 boys sharing that role, he was chosen to open the Australian tour in Sydney, and then toured with the show till Covid shut the industry down. Since then he’s finished schooling at MacDonald College, and appeared in roles on TV and film, including Heartbreak High Series 3 earlier this year, plus TV commercials and even a music video for Ed Sheeran. Jamie is now out in the world of professional auditions, casting processes, gigs, all while keeping his skills finetuned with lots of ongoing traning.
